Most people don’t know this, but I’ve always loved writing.
For years it was just fragments — half-formed ideas, scenes scribbled down, story concepts that never quite became full books. Then last year, I decided to dip my toe into self-publishing with a small collection of true crime short stories. It was my first real attempt at putting something out into the world. (I have since removed it from print, trust me you're welcome) It was fun, and exciting and the only books I sold were to friends and family but it was a start. Looking at it now, it had many mistakes but it was "my first pancake". In other words it was a messy, imperfect failure made with more enthusiasm than experience.
However, I wasn't discouraged, in fact I was inspired, and motivated to put one of my many ideas into a full length book. Since then, I’ve been writing constantly, experimenting with shorter, Twilight Zone/Tales from the Crypt–inspired stories. I've been reading obsessively, listening to audio books whenever my hands are busy, and studying what makes a thriller grip you and refuse to let go. And now, I’m almost finished with my first full-length psychological thriller. I am already so proud and excited about it, and can't wait until I finish my tweaking and rewriting and get it published so I can share it with all of you.
